NBANH EMPLOYEES AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS WORK TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING MEMBER SERVICES:
COMMUNICATION
NBANH is committed to maintaining ongoing, two-way communication with our members.
NETWORKING
NBANH hosts and supports a variety of events and maintains an active membership with the Canadian Association for Long Term Care (CALTC).
MEMBER BENEFITS
NBANH oversees the management of pension plans and health and benefits plans for member homes. We also coordinate the Wellness Program, including the Employee and Family Assistance Program.
LEGAL & LABOUR RELATIONS SERVICES
On behalf of the nursing home sector, NBANH negotiates employment contracts, provides guidance on human resources management, and supports member homes with the interpretation of relevant legislation.
CLINICAL INNOVATION
We support nursing homes in enhancing residents’ quality of life by promoting best practices, including the Appropriate Use of Antipsychotics initiative and data-driven improvements made possible through interRAI LTCF. We remain committed to supporting the long-term sustainability of these improvements.
EDUCATION
NBANH hosts an Annual General Meeting and Convention focused on education and provides a variety of learning and professional development opportunities throughout the year.
AWARDS
NBANH presents awards at its Annual General Meeting to recognize and celebrate the dedication and commitment to excellence demonstrated by our members.
